What is Floating?

Floating is a luxurious escape from the constant stress of life’s daily pressures. Floating helps to stimulate the body’s own natural power of healing and regeneration. Flotation therapy is a rapidly growing wellness treatment. This therapy has been utilized by people who are highly stressed, have chronic pain, adrenal fatigue, sleep disorders, asthma and are in rehabilitation as a shortcut to improving health and well-being.

The floatation tank contains 500kg of Epsom-salt, saturated into 800L of water, about 12 inches deep. This creates highly buoyant water that creates an experience similar to that of floating in the Dead Sea, you float effortlessly on the surface of the water feeling completely weightless!

“After 5 minutes, you can’t hear any thing, can’t see anything, and can’t feel anything...It’s feels like you’re floating in space”

Complete Relaxation

This weightlessness is created by the Epsom-salt saturated water, allowing every muscle in the body to reach a level of full relaxation. As if in deep meditation, your body and mind achieve calmness, entering into a theta brain wave state resulting in a profound state of relaxation.

Zero Distractions

Our luxury float rooms are sound proofed to blocks out all external distractions, whilst floating in our customised float tanks your mind and body can truly switch off, as they involuntary work constantly to counter the gravity we are faced with on Earth. The water is heated to skin temperature. It is almost impossible to tell where your body ends and the water begins.

Rest & Heal

For the first 10 minutes of your float the tank’s interior will be lit softly by changing colour LED lights, while you listen to soft meditative music that will allow your mind to drift into a deep state of relaxation, creating a disconnection from today’s fast paced world. Then the tank’s interior lights and music switch off for you to float in the quietness and darkness.

Epsom Salt(Magnesium Sulphate)

As your body floats, you absorb tiny amounts of magnesium sulphate through your skin. This is one of the best ways to make sure you don't have a magnesium deficiency. Known as hypomagnesemia, low magnesium levels can be caused by alcoholism, severe diarrhoea, malnutrition, poor diet or high calcium levels. Symptoms include fatigue, muscle cramps or spasms, convulsions, erratic eye movement and more. The body requires the mineral magnesium to break down sugars molecules and stiumlate better blood flow. Epsom salt is also used to treat patients who suffer asthma, authtism, high blood pressure, weight loss...the list goes on.
